Ephesians 2:11,12 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
We must remember what we were in time past in the flesh. We were a people separated from God. The Gentiles were also called the Uncircumcision by the Circumcision, that is the Jew. Before we got saved we were without Christ, that is we were separated and apart from Christ. Praise God, one day He found you, drew you to Himself and reconciled you unto Himself! Colossians 1:19-21 "For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled." Do you really understand the condition that we were in? As lost sinners we were separated from God, we were alienated form God and we were the enemy of God. An alien is someone who is estrange. We were estrange from our Creator. We were also "strangers" or foreigners to the Almighty. We had absolutely no hope of being reconciled to Him. There was not one scintilla of a thing we could have done to cause Him to desire us. But God in His mercy and grace made it possible to be reconciled to Him through the shed blood of Jesus! Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. As redeemed children of God we no longer are Aliens and Stranger without Hope, no sir! we are citizens of a heavenly city! We are members of the royal family, heirs of the kingdom of God, and partakers of the divine nature. That deserves a loud, AMEN!! Let's walk with a pep in our step and a joy in our heart today for what He has made us. 2Co 5:18-20 "And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation...and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ..." As we live for Christ today, remember there are many who are still aliens and strangers to God. They are ignorant and blind to the truth, that Jesus can save them, we must tell them the good news before its too late. Ephesians 4:18 "Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart."
